As Eric said the beginners present learned the most important lesson about
swarms - sometimes you have to leave them, when it is too dangerous to
reach them. Even after investing 50 minutes in trying all sorts of things.
It was a great afternoon, a fascinating array of hives (Cathedral, TBHs,
Freedom, alveary) and the hive inspections taught everyone a great deal,
particularly about hands-on inspection techniques and when we figured out
what was bothering the grumpy one.
I'll do a blog post presently.
