Hello Overmountain Brewers,
Hope you are doing well!
I let the month of January fly by and before I realized it, then here we were
at our normal meeting week without a meeting. I ended up working late last
Tuesday and wasn't able to get free till very late.
Now here we are in a new week and we would like to meet tomorrow if you guys
are available.
Following the topic plan from last year would have presented us with a blind
tasting for tomorrow's meeting, but with us being socially distant that would
make it difficult.
So without any thought for a formalized plan, I would like to discuss the topic
of hard seltzers.
Hard Seltzers are a trending alcoholic beverage and we may see more folks
looking into them with warmer weather, as the 2020 year brought more folks into
a habit of drinking regularly. With the prospect of folks actually gathering
this year, it will be interesting to see if many decide to cut calories by
switching to a light (yet able to get you drunk) kinda drink.
My thoughts are to have a group discussion on what you have tried, what you
liked (if any), who is making them - did you make any? Also, what flavors you
think work best in this bubbly alcoholic water.
