Here in Chapel Hill, NC we’re under a water emergency, or crisis. We can’t use
water for anything, cause it’s contaminated. The water treatment plant is shut
down, and there is a 12 inch water main brake which caused all this to happen.
We got warnings from Orange Water and suer not to use water under any
circumstance. But some people ignored the warning, and so water levels are so
low, that the water is contaminated. So they’re trying to restart the
treatment plant, but it will take from 24 to 48 hours to test the water to
determine whether the water is safe enough for normal use. We’re waiting for
emergency services to bring us water, since I can’t walk to get to a store to
get some bottled water. If we don’t get some tonight, than we have a couple in
durham who’ll get water for us tomorrow. But the kitty has his own bottle of
water, and we found a bottle of vitamin water we’re drinking. But it’s no
laundry, bathing, flushing the potty, or cooking with
