From what I heard somewhere, and I can’t remember where, yes, Richard had a
very hard time getting over Karen’s death at least at first. It’s been a long
time since I read the book “Little Girl Blue,” but I think that’s the
information which was at the end of the book. Richard did, however, go on to
marry and have perhaps eight kids, can’t remember. Saw him on a TV documentary
where he was talking about Karen. Think he lives in the L.A. area with his
family, and he sounds very different today than he did while he was with the
Carpenters as a group. He did release a solo album just called Richard
Carpenter, which I liked well, though he put a lot of other artists on the
album like El DeBarge, Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick.

Is Richard Carpender still living in FC is what is he doing now? I guess he
really had a hard time getting over his sisters death. It's really too bad the
Karen Carpender died it's just too bad she couldn't of gotten treatment for her
problems.

Vickie, here’s hoping you can find the movie you saw recently. I’d love to
watch that one, especially since it’s not an acted story but an actual
documentary. Wow, wonder how that movie could have been documented given her
talking to her psychiatrist. Wow.

Yeah, yeah, Connie, you got it. I downloaded it and listened to some of it a
few minutes ago. I remember watching it seems like quite a few years ago.
This is not the movie I saw the other day, however. I’ll keep looking for that
one. It was a documentary mostly about the last 5 years of her life. No fake
Karen actors, just pictures of the real Karen, while she talked to her
psychologist, and other doctors and a lot of talking. I thought it was called
Goodbye to Love, but can’t seem to find it by that name. Thanks for this one
though. I thought I had it already in MP3 format, but discovered it’s not on my
external hard drive, so glad to have it again.

Cool! That's the way you do it! If someone doesn't have a Dropbox account, it
may try to have them create one or to sign in. I'll put this on the public Open
Drive folder in case people without accounts can't get it. I just got it!
Thanks bunches for sure!

Thank you Nance,
I’m still trying. I had the file on a thumb drive. I copied it to dropbox
pressed the applications key arrowed down to copy. Entered on copy but JAWS
isn’t showing me a link. If I find another link I will send it to myself and
see if I can get it to work before sending it to the group.

Connie, I as well indeed appreciate the effort in sending this. This indeed
sounds as a file name on your computer. If so, you should be able to hit the
Applications key when you're on the file name and arrow down to where it says,
"Copy Dropbox Link." Then, hit Enter on that and just start a new email message
and hit Control V when you want the link to go in the message body. The link
will look like this, except, of course, with the Karen Carpenter Story name iin
it:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/api3yuzi2aiegxk/Tom%20Paxton%20Peanut%20Butter%20Pie.zip?dl=0
You will be able to hit Enter on this link, and will go to the site where this
album or file is, and then you choose to download it. By the way, this is one
thing I really like about Open drive public folder; it works similarly to the
way Dropbox's public folder worked when they had one.
