Well, guess all we can do is to pray he’ll have a change of heart. I’m so sorry
that Helen is suffering not only physically but probably has been suffering
mentally for years. God bless her!

Yes, Helen would be there for him in a New York minute. I seriously doubt that
he'll go for counseling because he's one of these guys who's really proud and
macho. None of my other sisters like him either because of his attitude. Cecilia
mentioned to me one time that he made a snide remark about us having health
problems. Now the tables are turned because last year he had congestive heart
failure. He really doesn't take care of himself like he should.

Rosie, wo, what an inconsiderate person Tom must be not to help his wife when
she has a broken knee, for Heaven sake! I’m sure if the reverse were happening,
Helen would be there for him in a New York minute! Sheesh! I wonder if Helen

Subject: [ourplace] update on Helen
Hi, everyone,
I just talked to Mom a little while ago and she said Helen is scheduled for
surgery on Wednesday April 5th. Tomorrow she has to go for all her pre-op exams
plus donate a pint of blood. Actually she's giving it in case she has to have a
blood transfusion. She'll have to go to a convalescent home for physical
therapy. My brother-in-law Tom won't do a blasted thing to help her and that
does make me mad. I think he can at least make her some meals and do some
housework for her since she can't put weight on that leg. Mom told me awhile
back that he said he's getting tired of taking her places and doing things for
her. I don't know why he has such a weird attitude. He needs prayer for his
attitude as well as Helen being prayed for for her knee.
