I know, Devon. That’s who I think of first whenever “The 12th of Never” is
mentioned too. But Slim Whitman did a very nice job singing and playing on that
song too, though of course it’s very different than Johnny’s version.

Oh, really, Linda! I didn’t know he did that song. When I think of The Twelfth

Hey Kenneth, I could download this mp3 just fine, and it worked perfectly well
for me. I didn’t hear of Slim Whitman until I discovered a very small,
low-powered country station in 1966. I mean, San Francisco isn’t exactly noted
for its country music, especially back then. The first song I heard by Slim was
“The 12th of Never,” which I still love today.
