Will Cdex go to the database and give you info about songs you burned to CD
yourself? I'm asking because I burned a lot of my vinyl albums when I had
the stereo with the CD recorder.

Hi Randy, I use CDEX 1.51, but hopefully these instructions will work.
When you first start using CDEX, press F4, and go to the Remote CDDB tab.
There will be an edit field for you to put an e-mail address in, I don't
think it cares what address. Then, go to the Encoder tab and choose your
bit rate, I suggest 320 KBps. In the CD Drives tab, I usually make sure
that Eject cd when done is checked, and in the file names tab, I check Add
Files to M3U playlist. This all only needs to be done once. Then, when you
put the disk in, CDEX will check the data base for track imfo, and then all
you have to do is press F9 to start ripping to MP3. Be sure
to not arrow through the tracks, or you will un select them and only
rip the track you are on. All tracks are selected by default. The files
will show up in a folder called MP3, wich is one of two folders under my
music. The other folder is called CDDB, and stores all of the data base
info from the CD's you have ripped, so they will show up even if you are off
line!
