Hi, Linda,

That's neat you're going to your brother's house for a barbecue. When my sister Cecilia and brother-in-law Omar had their house in Whittier, we used to go over there for barbecues on special occasions like the Fourth of July. Now that they're living with Mom and Dad, it's harder for them. At first Dad wouldn't let them hook up their gas grill outside in the back yard but Mom told Dad to lighten up and let them have barbecues for the family. My dad can be a real stick-in-the-mud at times. He won't let Mom run the little air conditioner they have on very hot days but she runs it anyway.

Hi Gaston,

Hope you're having a great 4th of July, and thanks for the best wishes to us
U.S. folks.  Sounds as though you did well in the marathon you ran.  I laugh to
myself as I could no more run a marathon than be an astronaught and fly to the
moon!  I'm going to visit my brother, who cooks really, really well, and his
wife makes really wonderful salads and veggies.  Doug my brother barbecues, and
it'll be just the perfect day for it.  Well, actually, evening.  Have a good
day.

Good morning folks.
Thank you Devon, for jumping out of the blocks, and wishing our American
friends, a Happy Independence Day.
I would like to wish you all, a super nice freedom day.
It's really nice, warm and sunny here in Aylmer Qc.

Hi, everyone.  And now it's time for us to wish all our American friends on the
list a very happy Independence Day.  I'll bet almost everyone has plans for the
day, whether it's watching a baseball game or two, or picnicking with friends.
One time, I spent July 4 with my brother and his family in Vermont.  I remember
that day because my niece, Pam asked me if I wanted a grinder.  Totally
confused, I said: "A what?"  My brother translated by asking me if I wanted a
sub sandwich.  And in turn, that reminds me of the day, probably back in the
very early sixties, when two of my nieces and I went to the general store.  My
niece from Boston wanted a tonic, my niece from London, Ontario wanted a pop,
and I wanted a softdrink.  It turned out that we all wanted the same thing,
lololol.  Anyway, have a happy, happy day, and I hope that the spacecraft Juno
safely achieves orbit around Jupiter today.  Devon.
