Once I get this thing set up, you won't have to just click on somebody's
link
and try to download. The things we will all do are:
1. I'll have an account for the group set up with the same user and
password for everybody. I'll probably need to set up an area for us to
upload to, but whatever is uploaded will always go into the correct folder.
2. Everybody will need to go the link I will give you and download the app
for Open Drive and install it. Once you have done that, just open it from
your desktop and log in with the user name and password I give you for the
group.
3. It'll seem as if all the files in Open Drive are on your computer, but
they aren't; they are on a drive on the internet and don't take up extra
room on your hard drive. Only what you choose to copy over onto your
computer will add files to your computer. Once we get this going, it'll be
so handy to just open up this drive and copy (not cut) stuff to wherever we
want to. It won't be like we are doing now. More details later!
