Hi Tom S
Your 2m wing design is interesting. It would be interesting to see see what
effect the inboard wing tip vortices will produce.

Not my design. It's by 3DAeroventures
(https://www.3daeroventures.com/shop/infinitywing). My only contribution is
to print it in LW-PLA instead of PLA.
However, I do have a 2m glider on the drawing board that is a bit unusual.
The configuration only makes sense because of the 2m span limit.
Cheers,
Tom

Tom S,
Looks like top notch engineering as usual.

I like your organizer! I've been wondering how to store my balsa, music
wire, and carbon tubes. This looks like a good idea. Maybe I should try
to find some Coroplast to do something similar. I could stick wire & rods
into the channels in the plastic.
Slow progress on my X-100 Infinity Wing. I'm really hard on noses due to
my (lack of) excellent flying skills, and the fuselage felt a bit flimsy
due to the big hole from the canopy. So I decided to beef it up a bit. I
put a strip of spread-tow unidirectional carbon down each side of the
forward fuselage and covered the whole fuselage forward of the wing with
3/4 oz glass cloth. Here are a couple of photos of it glassed, and one
after spackling and sanding. The weight gain was 13.4 g, or 9% of the bare
fuselage weight. I figure that's well worth it!
Aft wing parts are printed and awaiting assembly. Still printing parts for
the forward wing. The lightweight PLA parts are coming in at less than
half the weight of conventional PLA. I'm really liking LW-PLA for making
planes.
Color scheme will be basically white (PLA hates heat), with some accents.
I'm thinking orange for the elevons, wing tips, and canopy.
I have some planes on the drawing board, too. The first is an RC version of
the 10 Hi freeflight flying wing
(https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=8337) - my all-time favorite
model from back in the day. This will be a stick build, and the first
opportunity to use my Ajusto-Jig.
Cheers,
Tom

This first thing the instruction manual says is organize all your balsa by
size for easier picking as the project proceeds. Only 42” wing span but
lots of details and two engines......this is going to take a while!
Magnet table....magnet fixtures on wall to left.
Kit has three plan sheets....too big for my 3’x6’ table so I’ll fold or
cut to fit or various parts of the build.
The organizer made from Dollar Store foam-board.
Anybody else have some stuff to show n tell?
