0) where did you installed the netbackup binaries, in the $ORACLE_HOME itself..
1) was the instance and databse running while installing netbackup
2) is the instance and database running  now
3) primafacie it seems to be just an issue of environement variable or some
soft links only

thanks!

Subject: sqlplus "/as sysdba" giving error

Hi Guru's

I'm facing this problem in oracle 8i Dev database running on solaris, this we
are facing after installing netbackup binaries. i have to do clone by shutting
down the database to validate the netbackup.

Please suggest should i kill the instance and relink of libraries would solve
my problem. I checked in metalink but did not get any help.
Please help me on this

Thanks in advance.
Avadhani
