Nial, reg-ex looks like the way to go and it should also provide error
itself as the text. no?

this confused me as well. ORA- errors count as warnings and not errors
(unless they match an unreadable reg-ex) . You can change the severity
of the alert or your notification preferences. I've yet to work out
how to get the error itself emailed.
