Nope. How much resources do you think you will save by using PDB's instead of multiple instances? You will save separate shared pools, separate log buffers and several processes per instances, each of them running the same executable. By my experience, savings will amount to approximately 16GB of RAM and 1 CPU in terms of CPU usage. That amounts to a desktop PC which can be bought for $1K these days. No humor here.
