When I first started looking at this, I tried to tackle IDM from the bottom
up and it was so overwhelming because the topic is so huge. I would suggest
you focus on Enterprise User Security if that is your goal.
I had a conversation with the VP PM of Identity Management at OpenWorld
this year about this very topic. One of the ideas that came out of that
conversation was to have an EUS hands-on lab at Collaborate and other
conferences. We are also looking at year-round education through webinars
and local events, and possibly forming a special interest group if there is
enough interest. If you are not yet an IOUG member, sign up for a free
membership so you can take part in these things when they become available.
If you have any other ideas or suggestions, please reach out to any of the
IOUG board members or just post to this list (there are at least two board
members who actively participate on Oracle-L).

it. It was the first Oracle class I've taken and I thought it was very
useful and the instructor was very good. Speaking for myself, I thought
this class laid the foundation for what this product suite is capable of
doing and helped me in understanding how all the pieces fit together.
Not a developer class, but more for admins.
