I want to share with other people too, specially because I found this

This guys don't know too much about marketing you have to ask a
presentation, but they offer a compatible software towork with oracle forms
and reports; really really very good work.
Their product is jforms builder, has a report, and a runtime, you can run
as client server and web too. have a tool for migration from Oracle froms.
The interesting is they are native to oracle and postgress.
This guys worked hard to do it. And I see most people don't know about then
and I think this is unfair.

free runtime to Oracle Form and oracle standard one :)
Usually companies that domains for decades, in example 1890 to 1950 can
suddenly dissapear in five years, and my opinion is Oracle is moving toward
there.
And these are the reasons.
If I would be starting a new business I would use postgress and the
"native" client server tool(web too) for postgress (

else the problem is the strategy of Oracle; and postgress is really nice
has compression of data by default, parallel processing, etc. etc. And this
client is nice, really good work.
I don't say is a bad strategy to maximize their medium term benefits,
personally after seeing postgress.
i.e. main 12c feature like databae are toward big databases. and slowly
Oracle is moving out of small business, who are starting to use other
options, and there is a clear message from Oracle "we don't care medium
business customers", to move the runtime developer tool from 0 to 20,000 U$
causes small business to be forced literally to leave their developement in
oracle forms toward other tool, and lately oracle standard one, in some
cases to move to oracle xe.
About the database
I was waiting from Oracle to include several enterprise features in oracle
standard and standard one, from oracle enterprise, and instead of that,
oracle stardard one was killed.
it remembers me when oracle developer killed his free runtime. or when
microsoft killed visual fox and caused many of their customer to move to
delphi instead to visual basic.
About developer tools, they don't have the wow
I you are old enough I think you can agree with me. I have 44 yeras and if
you giveme 30 people for 6 months I can really make a better developer tool
than oracle forms and reports, and adf of course.
And I'm not only telling this is a possibility, someone did it, an oracle
forms that connect to oracle and postgress (

Adf and jdeveloper maybe are innerly a miracle in engineery but they are
farly friendly ended products, they need a step more to be something wow,
and not something miracleous, else something there is currently in the
market in other tools. adf isn't as good as oracle forms, they don't have
many of his essential functionlity,they have other features but they are
not wow, something that would be interesting like jheadstart is a separate
product; in that way not only us I saw most oracle developer developer quit
to use adf. And it was really not complex to make something compatible with
oracle forms, but the decided not to do.
Other example, are their products, they started to offer products without
caring their quality, to get a product running with out hanging, or the
fact several people use it. doen'st mean they have a good quality.

#1 Development Platform for Oracle Systems, and is the first time I see it.
first it don't see plsql and if this is the first developement platform,
then where is jdeveloper in #2. As customer I don't perceive a clear
strategy toward their customers, they started to show all the products they
acquired, without caring their quality.
If I remember after acquiring sun, they offered star office in their shop.
About the customer service
I could be wrong but I don't think so.
I think to buy sun was the worst idea they had, because they invested teh
energy of their employess, buecause the oracle is made by his employess.
I remember I found a very important source of bugs in oracle installer, is
the fact that when you are downloading with an utility that resumes the
download and download several segments at the same time, appears some
corruption, that isn't detected by the test zip archive.
I learned I have to download as it is, if it stopes, then I have to resuem
from the beggining. When I share it through my metalink accout they told me
my support didn't cover it, past years I noted there was some tiredness in
oracle employess to handle too much products and work, after sun
acquisition.
My opinion is Oracle is going to stand up more than 50 years, but they will
loose small and medium database and at least small projects in big
business, mainly because they don't care. And I think business is finally a
relation between two people and in long term each one receive what they
give to each other.
