I did so, I used the one from the DB server, and now I get this error: ERROR at line 2: ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found Isabel Bedoya Gómez Centro de Gestión y Control Tel. 2307500 ext: "Niall Litchfield" <niall.litchfield@xxxxxxxxx> Enviado por: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 11/09/2006 16:47 Por favor, responda a niall.litchfield@xxxxxxxxx Para crcbedoy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx cc oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Asunto Re: SOS - URGENT********DB LINK it's the name resolution on the server not your client that matters. I'd check the domain name on the server and the tnsnames on the server. I'd be hoping to see 'proteccion.com.co ' in the naming rather than ' us.oracle.com', but that might just be me. -- Niall Litchfield Oracle DBA http://www.orawin.info
