It would have been a good idea to retry restoring the archive logs rather than proceeding with the recovery. But then, hindsight is often 20/20. You should examine the logs of your backup software to find why the restore failed. One hopes that you have more than one backup of your archive logs. My advice would be to run the restore again. If it fails, find out why it failed. The consequences of this problem are more far reaching than just restoring a database to test.
