Hmm I'll have to lookup the test, but I configured a controlfile catalog to
store a years worth of backup info - no catalog both client requirements,
don't ask. My testing indicated that at 8k block size and sensible backup
frequencies the controlfile size limit wouldn't interfere. Hung my testbed
for several hours doing it mind.
