Here is your mistake: 10.2.0.1.0 Once you?ve fixed your problem I recommend applying 10.2.0.3 to Clusterware at least. Ideally you should have done this before installing ASM. Reasoning: would you consider running Sun Cluster, Redhat Cluster Suite or any other cluster software at anything other than a recent patch level? Clusterware does not affect application behaviour but will affect stability. Patch it. Try starting it just using sqlplus and check the alert log. -Randy ________________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Murtuja Khokhar Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2007 3:36 AM To: freelists Subject: RAC ASM error Hi, Environment: Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 Standrad Edition Solaris 10 (sparc 64bit) I am using Oracle Clusterware only.
