Hello Stefano, I was facing same issues when starting at new company. However, without any metrics, it's hard to measure improvements. If you are not licensed for DIAG/TUNE pack, then statspack will do the trick. Might also considering downloading FREE version of http://www.confio.com/performance/oracle/ignite/ I have not used the FREE version but am using the licensed version. -Michael.
