Dianna, If you setup a profile, ODBC should be able to handle the password change when the password expires. I've tested it on Oracle's 10.2 ODBC driver with MS Access. It will prompt for the new password. Do you have a specfic need to send out emails? I haven't thought thru that whole process though and thought setting this up in multiple instances would be time consuming and a lot of maintenance. Would something like this work? >>> "Nick Yonko" <nyonko@xxxxxxx> 04/04/07 11:10 AM >>> Yes, however, the notification process for those using ODBC access through non-native Oracle app is difficult. I am looking for a solution to this as well. ------------------------------------ PSU Foundation Nick Yonko Information Systems Director nyonko@xxxxxxx 2125 SW 4th Ave Suite 510 Portland, OR 97201 tel: 503 725 4909 ------------------------------------ -----Original Message----- From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Don Seiler Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2007 9:07 AM To: DIANNA.GIBBS@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Oracle users and password changes Precisely what user profiles are for. http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/ora/concepts/profile.html Don.
