Thanks to all for sharing your opinion. Also can you suggest what should be set
if taking ASM out of AMM for SGA_TARGET/SGA_MAX_SIZE/PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET.
Current I saw most of the env is using AMM with 1G but checking one Oracle doc
(437924.1) was recommending AMM for 1536M. Don't saw any issue with current AMM
of 1G and so looking for any suggestion as how it should be changed while
moving to AMM for ASM.

Large pages is absolutely amust on Linux, fully agree.
Not that clear on AIX. I have just completed a test and there is nodifferences
at all. Why? Because the memory pages goes automaticallyto 8mb when big memory
chucks are allocated.

Thanks Mark for the update. I can see that Oracleprovided script to suggest for
hugepage parameter recommendation is alsonot taking ASM memory in the picture.
So looking for comment from othersbased on their experience appreciate your
feedback

Hi Sanjay My opinion, you can use huge pages for ASMif you wish, but don't
bother. It's not generally enough memory tomake much of a difference. Huge
pages for RSBMS, on the other hand,is an absolute must. I blogged on this
topic a few years
ago.https://www.google.com/amp/s/markjbobak.wordpress.com/2014/01/21/if-youre-not-using-hugepages-youre-doing-it-wrong/amp/-Mark
