Another monitoring tool that is similar to Big Brother is Nagios, which
used to be called Netsaint.  We have it installed and running, I found
it
a little easier to configure then Big Brother, especially around
notifications.

As far as I can see, BigBrother seems to be a good tool. I'll download
it
and test it.
What's also good is that it may be used in combination with Spotlight
from
Quest....
We also need this tool be capable of monitoring networks and OS issuees
as
well.
