Can you cite a reference stating that logical standby is being
deprecated or has been deprecated?
All I could find was references from the Oracle10g timeframe about
DataGuard Broker and failovers to Logical Standby, but nothing about
deprecation.
One big advantage of Logical Standby as opposed to GoldenGate is cost,
which is probably why the original poster is intending to try it in the
first place.

Hi,I believe you'll find everything that you need here:
We are looking into setting up logical standby in ver 19. We want to replicate 4 small (in size) schemas on the standby with the possibility to query the data in the standby in Linux. Can anyone point to a link other than manual? TIA.
We are also considering exporting the schemas, ftping and importing into the standby nightly. If anyone has scripts for that, please feel free to share.
PS. I have setup physical data guard standby in versions 10, 12 and 19.
Thanks,
Ram.

Also, logical standby is being deprecated. You should go with GG.
