Monitoring looks like the natural thing to do, auditing select or FGA would 
make it even easier. Audit would give you the number of statements that 
reference
this particular table and you could draw conclusions from the relative numbers.
If you want a pure "internals" solution, counting blocks from the table by using
V$BH or by using V$ACCESS (unreliable).
