Thanks Fuad, totally forgot that the weblogic agent will be needed for VCS. One thing I can't seem to get is do you need to install the the GC agent as part of or within a VCS service group or is it one agent per physical node/server. --- On Wed, 26/1/11, Fuad Arshad <fuadar@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Fuad Arshad <fuadar@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: EM GC 11gR1 on AIX 6.1 using Veritas Cluster Services To: "roon987@xxxxxxxxxxx" <roon987@xxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wednesday, 26 January, 2011, 15:00 I believe you will need the vcs agent for weblogic as well as the vcs agent for oracle I have experience using vas agent for oracle for active passive cluster and the setup and configuration is wizard based and fairly simple . HA for the GC repository database is going to be provided by VCS in a active/passive configuration. We are going to have 2 Weblogic domains and 2 OMS's running fronted by a load balancer in a active/active configuration for HA. To make things a bit more interesting both the Weblogic and OMS are going to be running in a VCS service group. My question is has anyone got any hints/pointers/documents/links etc where this has been done. Am looking for any gotcha's/issues like howto install the agents/weblogic/oms in a VCS service group. How does VCS handle the components in a failover situation. What kind of scripts will we need to develop to handle a failover etc. TIA Zabair
