EGenera for Oracle -- particular for DWHs

I remember that eGenera was "somewhat popular" in 2007/2008. It was then
launched as an Oracle RAC blade-farm.
Does anyone have experience implementing recent eGenera solutions,
particular for I/O intensive DataWarehouses ?
I believe that there was a limit of 2 HBA ports on a 24-blade frame
(effectively allowing, say, 14-16 blades to be usable) ?
