Are they still around???  Had a chance to play with one several years
ago, 2007 I believe.  Very nice system IMHO, especially if you pulled
out a working blade.  Fault tolerance was phenomonil.

I remember that eGenera was "somewhat popular" in 2007/2008.  It was
then launched as an Oracle RAC blade-farm.

 

Does anyone have experience implementing recent eGenera solutions,
particular for I/O intensive DataWarehouses ?

I believe that there was a limit of 2 HBA ports on a 24-blade frame
(effectively allowing, say, 14-16 blades to be usable) ?
