Thanks Zhu Chao for the info. 1 Question - If you mean CPU usage DOUBLED when using Shared Servers with RAC ? A basic Qs - Is setting up shared servers for RAC similar to it's setup for single instance (NON-RAC) ? Any Good Docs, Links, Books, metalink Doc IDs, Pointers to Oracle Documentation for Performance with RAC? I will periodically send e-mails on our progress though the benchmark is tentatively planned to start after about 1 month. We hit severe capacity problem when we change from dedicated server to shared server. CPU usage simply doubled. Dispature used half of total cpu, which is a great overhead. However we are running on 9205/solaris8. But I think basicly they should be same. If you can get some benchmark between shared server/dedicated, please drop me an email. Oracle is saying to provide us with patch for that problem , And I am interested in how it is doing on oracle 10.
