Considering all the bugs in Oracle and the relatively short life of this
view (added in 10g), I’d say there’s a good chance that there are some
bugs with it and I doubt it would ever be used on its own to prove any
wrongdoing – it’s probably just there to be used as a starting point, and
to scare DBAs into compliance.
Did you already search MOS for bugs related to that view?
