will check tahiti too. I created a DB on E8ISO8859P1 characterset, now app team wants it to be in the same character set previous one as this is on the new box. Which was on US7ASCII. I tried to put in words that US7ASCII is a subset of E8ISO8859P1 and its not gonna make any difference but didn succeed. so finding my way out to do that. -chirag On Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 1:54 PM, Don Seiler <don@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Maybe search tahiti docs for csscan and csmig. > > Only question is why you'd want to migrate down to US7ASCII. > > Don. > > On Mon, Apr 14, 2008 at 12:28 PM, Chirag DBA <chiragdba@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > I am trying to conver the nls_characterset from E8ISO8859P1 to US7ASCII. > > > > did not find any satisfactory notes from metalink or google. > > > > Anyone has done this before? > > > > This is 10.2.0.3 on Solaris. > > > > -chirag > > > > > > -- > Don Seiler > http://seilerwerks.wordpress.com > ultimate: http://www.mufc.us > -- Cheers, ------------------------ Chirag Majmundar
