We are using it on our Oracle products that are on Linux (OBI at the
moment, but considering more). We haven't had any issues with it. It's
stable and runs well within our infrastructure. We actually have a mix of
Linux and x86 *NIX here (Ubuntu, RedHat, and OEL/UEK), also FreeBSD and
Solaris x86_64. Overall I haven't seen any benefit to RedHat over OEL/UEK
for our purposes. The nice thing with the OEL setup is that we have one
place to go when issues arise. The OS and the apps on these systems are
Oracle so they can't dodge the issues by saying its an app issue or an OS
issue. They fully own any issues that arise.
