There is a requirement (for now) to set up for RAC (although we Probably Do Not Need RAC). From what we (i.e. the DBA's) and me (i.e. me) can determine: IBM clustering is still a work in progress. HP is feeling around its backside trying to determine which hole is truly its Unix hole. After the end (we hope) of the dot-com bust, Sun is sitting here with 7 billion dollars in the bank and a very good Value Added Reseller (VAR) network. Based on that, we are a little inclined to say that the reports of Sun's demise are premature. Is there something we missed? Something we should know? ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
