Ask him to be more specific. Recently done couple of upgrades on Windows/Linux without any issues. Almost all tablespces were LMT's.

A DBA just mentioned to me that Oracle has trouble with locally managed
tablespaces when upgrading from 8i to 9i. Has anyone seen this or heard of
this being an issue?
