I am very pleased to announce that we will be making an addition to our staff here at the University of Minnesota. Ideally, we are seeking an imaging specialist who has the traditional skills in fundus photography, angiography, slit lamp photography, OCT, etc. in addition to having skills or at least a strong interest in ultrasonography. The goal is that this individual would ultimately become the primary biometrist at our facility. We are open to varying scenarios - an imager/ultrasonographer, an ultrasonographer who is willing to learn photography/imaging, or an imager who is willing to train in ultrasonography. A qualified candidate would be eligible for a competitive salary, medical and dental benefits, 401 K, vacation and university paid holidays. The U of MN employs many of the latest imaging modalities and is committed to continued utilization of the leading technology in ophthalmic imaging. Our treatment center provides care for patients in all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology and our imaging specialists enjoy a high level of variety in their work. As a clinic that is affiliated with a major research institution, there are opportunities to be involved with clinical science research and to have your photographic documentation published. For those of you considering relocation, I think you'll be pleased with the Twin Cities' social, recreational, and educational opportunities. We're famous for our clean air, safe neighborhoods and friendly people. We have an abundance of parks, trails, and lakes throughout the city as well as a wide variety of restaurants, a full calendar of live music and entertainment events, a vibrant theater and arts community, and plenty of major sporting venues (including our brand new outdoor Twins' baseball stadium).
