My “all inclusive” comment was about someone else’s notes may not cover
everything in the exam.
The outline is every topic included in the test, and you need to fill out the
details. Your research.
The outline is just that. An outline. At least this was the way it was
before.
I know my outline was skimpy on topics that I absolutely knew inside and out,
and heavy on details that I had to learn.

Hi all,
The new CRA Program Guide is all exclusive. Please disregard Lori’s statement.
The current CRA Program Guide is v. 14 and is up on the OPS website
(https://www.opsweb.org/?page=CRAOCTrequirements) now for you to download.
The OPS Board of Certification (BOC) in partnership with Schroeder Measurement
Technology (SMT) completed a CRA Focus Group Task in January 2017 to look into
the elimination of the CRA Performance Exam. The primary goal of this focus
group was to establish task/knowledge element exclusion criteria to
differentiate between the critical and non-critical tasks of the CRA
Performance Exam. The Committee then reviewed every knowledge, skill and task
on the Performance exam outline to assess whether or not it could be tested on
the Multiple Choice Examination (MCQ), the Portfolio, or both.
The BOC and SMT recommended that the Performance assessment be discontinued.
Content area weighting on the MCQ was adjusted to reflect this change, an
additional 25 questions were added to the MCQ. Portfolio submission was also
augmented to ensure that all tasks that were previously on the Performance
Examination were also covered in the portfolio requirements. There is one
additional FA on required for submission along with 6 additional images
including stereo pairs on both.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Hey hi,
Keep in mind. The test has changed. New questions. That guide may not be all
inclusive. You still need to make sure you are researching all areas of the
new outline.
And the test and portfolio are a way to test your knowledge and abilities. Not
someone else's.

Oh okay. Thank you very much any ways. Kelly Oldstein provided me with her
study guide. It seems really well planned out complete with pictures and all.
Wish I had this guide before I initially took the CRA exam. Probably would of
helped me greatly. But I do appreciate your efforts and really everyone in
OPS's efforts in taking time out of their busy schedules to assist me. My goal
is to join the OPS CRA community and to succeed as an Ophthalmic Photographer.
I love this field very much and cannot see myself doing anything else.
Thank you,

Hi Andre,
unfortunately I no longer have my study guide. It was lost to the sands of
time.... and a computer crash.

Hello OPS community. I am new to OPS but have been an Ophthalmic
Photographer/Tech for 8 years. Currently I am studying to take my written CRA
exam for the second time. First time out I performed badly so I do need a lot
of help in studying. Can anyone suggest study guides or books to better prepare
me to pass the exam? Seeking a life line.
Thank you,
