The Ophthalmic Medical Technology COT program at Portland Community College
is seeking a casual as needed lab assistant and tutor to help assist the
lab instructor ensuring that students are performing procedures safely and
accurately. Other duties that may be required are running skill evaluations
in conjunction with lab material, lab instructor, and community partners.
To be considered for this position the applicant must posses a COT or
higher to be eligible for consideration, and 5 years clinical experience.
However, provisional experience may be substituted to meet the required
qualifications temporarily for 1 year. Up to 599 of hours may be worked.

This would be a perfect opportunity if you are looking for a quarter-time
job if you are retired, taking a break, or going back to school. Typically
labs are 4 hours twice a week but will vary term to term as required by the
course material. Pay will vary depending on experience and availability of
lab requirements.
