No, a simple laserjet will do. Connections are not mysterious. Harder to network to a printer, not sure why you would want to. We tried, but abandoned ship. Just too easy to print to local printer....Great instrument, but it's "Networking" capabilities are less than sum zero. Basically, with a lot of gymnastics, you can make it send data to a remote printer. Big deal. I vaguely understand why they won't allow it to directly dump data into a server. Given that the biometric data leads to surgery, i.e. wrong data leads to wrong surgery, the liability for computer "hiccups" just too great. Ironically, however, in my 25+ years of doing and teaching biometry, most of the hiccups are human error, lack of proofing, lack of knowledge, etc etc. Not sure how a computer could muck it up more.... All you would need is to be in front of a computer with a web browser. Feel free to give me a call and we can set it up...647-309-9271. Another option is to go to the Clarity Website and access the training modules (http://www.claritymsi.com/us/retcamtraining.html). Go to the RetCam Training option (not the self-certification), select if you will be using RetCam II or RetCam 3 and within each there is a module on the FA. Take a look and then we can chat/WebEx.
