Same here, we rely on pt self-reporting. If the pt mentions that they are
"trying" to get pregnant and are mid-cycle, we defer and ask the pt to
report back after they "know".
FWIW - i believe that some clinical trials do require a negative pregnancy
test. I don't know how they implement that, but i know i've seen it in
recruitment protocols.
