I can vouch for the Ophthalmic Assistant as being a great resource for COA
and COT level certifications. JCAHPO also puts out a study guide and COMT
flashcards that you may want to invest in. COMT text/study material my
suggestion is eyetechnet study guide which quizzes you I have purchased and
it seems pretty comprehensive and includes all level COA/COT/COMT. There is
also the Principles and Practices of Ophthalmic Assisting that just came
out by Slack, I have not read the whole book but it might be a good
supplemental. For GVFs / Motility I would also say my favorite is Cassin's
book Fundamentals for Ophthalmic Technical Personnel. For immersion
biometry I would suggest going to a lecture workshop since this is also a
skill tested on the COMT. Johnathan you may want to reach out to the
Ophthalmic Tech facebook groups as well. There are probably more COMTs that
have taken the exam recently that would be happy to share their study
resources they use too!
