Hi, Everyone, Once again I apologize for using this list to reach its many braille readers. Based on some research that I did last year with braille readers and what they would like to read, I discovered a serious lack of braille puzzles and word-games including Sudoku (sometimes spelled su doku). For those who don't know, this is the latest craze among sighted puzzle fanciers. It's a grid which contains numbers and blank spaces where numbers need to be filled in to complete the puzzle. If you are interested in braille puzzles and games, I am forming a focus group to explore the various possible formats for things like Sudoku, cross-word puzzles, word-search puzzles, scrambled-word puzzles, etc. Most of these require a grid to play from (which contains the puzzle clues) and a grid to play on (which may be a blank sheet of paper, a cubarythm slate--may not have spelled that correctly), or an electronic version of the original puzzle grid which you could place in a word processor and fill in answers. If you always wanted to do puzzles and would like to receive some sample formats to explore, please contact me OFF-LIST. If possible, please exclude the original message from your response. This will make it easier to form a distribution list for the group. Thank you so much in advance for your interest.
