Hi Natalie and everyone!

I read cans a similar way, it sounds like.  I never thought to soak a label 
off.  What I used to do is take the label off by running the point of s 
scissors along the seam, which would break the seal.  Then I'd take the 
label off, read it, braille the type of food and rubber band the label back 
on the can.  Since I discovered magnetic labeling tape, I braille that and 
stick it on the lid of the can.  I keep the labels in a little container to 
pull out when I by more of a particular food.  Now, the can label stays on 
the can, because I don't have to remove it to braille it, which is a time 
saver since I started using magnetic labeling tape, a nice invention.
