Dan and list,

I sharpened my Optacon skills back in the 1970s on several shelf-feet-worth
of album covers--mostly classical in my case. I always made up braille
lists of composers and pieces and kept the list inside the album sleeve it
belonged to.

Fast forward a decade or so. I initially greeted the advent of CD's with
horror because there was no way I could put the same braille hard copy
inside a jewel case. As I eventually gained computer skills, I could put
the same info into files on the PC, but I lost many of these in a hard-drive
crash 8 years ago. The painful experience made me much more religious about
backing up hard-drive content, but I've never summoned up the energy to
recreate what I lost. But I still use the good old Optacon to read all my
liner notes.

Regards, JH
