Craig, as ALWAYS, you try to drown out the obvious in a deluge of useless words.
Bottom line, "all that pro version does," as you put it, is shamelessly copy
the Microsoft Surface. As such, it becomes a viable alternative for a notebook
or laptop, for many people. It's that simple.
Slate tablets are dead. Maybe not for special purpose uses like UPS delivery or
rental car returns, but dead as a popular consumer item. It's not that hard to
upgrade them to make them useful. The only question is why it took the general
public more than a few minutes to figure it out. And you too, naturally.
