All this field of view discussion changes as soon as one moves their head.
When has anyone looked at a screen without moving their eyes or head? The
subject is rarely every in the center of the screen. As everyone knows,
the only way to completely cover the field of view is to be in a sphere.
But every aspect ratio and screen size has its place if only for its
intended purpose.
