(assume different non-cached sources, not any sort of multicasting) Are you saying that if those hundred uploaders were on cable company A and were all sending directly to 100 downloaders on cable company B that cable company A would be have higher costs? And what is a "potential downstream source"? Any site in the world? That seems much more than the number of cable customers in any system, not that I see why it matters.
