Obviously more than you do Bert.

These ads are not video streams. They are built from still image sprites and
vector graphics. It is possible to accelerate the vector graphics on some
GPUs,
but for the most part, Flash Player depends on the CPU.

Sorry, Craig, but you do have a habit of arguing from a point of complete
cluelessness. So this is probably no exception.

Find justification for your claims. Don't just state them as facts. Meanwhile,
this and other sources don't seem to corroborate what you claim.

Certainly that second format doesn't sound like what you describe, at all:

"FS-microsite: Rather than expanding to a static image in a full screen banner,
this ad format requires interactive product details and/or lead capture be
built into the full screen expansion. It lets users stay in context and not be
taken to a web browser, delivering more information in a rich, interactive
experience, which helps drive brand recognition and awareness."

"FS-video: This ad format delivers re-purposed broadcast ads or other
high-quality video advertising to the end user, optimizing bandwidth and
allowing agencies and publishers to re-use broadcast advertising assets for
mobile."
Like I said, if the battery-powered device has to depend on the CPU to play the
ad, because the device makers don't incorporate accelerators for Flash media,
you cannot be surprised if the ads draw more power than other content.

But unlike you, Craig, I don't feel any compulsion to pretend it ain't so.
People who spend an inordinate amount of time pretending things are not as they
are come across as having some odd hidden agenda.
