The 852 Subfield Search is a very nice tool to find varied data in your
*Holdings records. For example you can look up call number prefixes:*
852#k - prefix
852#h call number,
851#i call number cutter
852#m (suffix)
852#c for Location
852#9 for prices or if you use codes for funding they can be looked up as
well.
And any other 852 field that your data contains!
In addition you can enter in a subfield code and in the data entry put in
an asterisk to pull up all data in a particular 852 subfield
Once you find particular data you searched there is an option to export to
a .csv
spreadsheet.
Search, Print, or Export 852 Holding Subfield Data
1. Select Administration> Reports/Tools> On the Tool menu at very top
you will see the 852-Subfield Search.
2. Type the 852 Subfield code (always in lower case) in the small box
3. Type the 852 Subfield data in the large box (case does not matter).
Click Search.
4. Clicking on the ID will let you edit the MARC record.
5. Clicking on the Title will bring up the detailed record in OPAC.
6. Clicking on the Search result will send that exact search again.
7. You will see options to print as well as export to a .csv spreasheet
