Hello everyone,

My name is Lissette. I just graduated from college in May and in two weeks
will start a two year English teaching fellowship in Tokyo, Japan. I will
be teaching first and second year college students' beginner and
intermediate reading and writing. This is my first time teaching English,
and am very excited.

During my senior year, Darcy Rogers led an OLA workshop and I fell in love
with the teaching style. Therefore, I am planning to model my classes on
the OLA method. Trouble is, I only attended that one workshop....

So I'm looking for ideas and advice, specifically for teaching
reading/writing courses of a beginner/intermediate level. I have lots of
freedom in terms of lesson planning, and love to get creative. If I could
get directed to useful resources for a newbie OLA teacher, I'd really
appreciate it!

Thanks for including me in this community!

:) Lissette
