Spanish teachers who are sympathetic readers should be able to get the jist
of it. Here is some info. I'll add a bit of background info after.
FYI, This student, Eva, was allowed to write this homework assignment in
English, but has decided to write her journal entries in Spanish.

Describe how you have been using Spanish outside of the classroom. Give
details:
Afurea de la clase, yo hablo Espanol un pocito. Una vez, yo hablo por lo 30
minutes en una conversation consista con mi hermana. Es bueno preactica
perra alla y yo porque alla no esta en una clase de Espanol ahora. Nostoros
habla de la tiempo y que es muy frio y como los does no te gustan la frio.
Es muy comico porque soy mas bueno en la Espanol de conversation, pera alla
tiene mas grammatica de yo. Estonses en la conversation, yo hablo mas
rapido pera alla habla de totals me errores. Yo say duspues porque la OWL
espanol es mas bueno de la normal version de ancenar Espanol. Porque los
estudiantos sabe la idioma en serio, y es possibblemente que personas habla
en la idioma, el oppesto es los personas que saben mucho gramatica pero no
possiblemente habla en una conversation.
I taught Eva's sister for one of her years before we started OWL and she
hasn't had the OWL experience at all. Eva started OWL as a Novice-Low and
is at the beginning of her third year.

Are your kids making this connection? I get goosebumps when they tell me
things like this and when Stel passes me info about the amazing things
happening in her class.
